Connecticut Motor Vehicle Dealer License

Foreign Qualification is Prerequisite:	Yes
Insurance Requirements:	Connecticut Financial Responsibility Insurance Certificate (Form R1325e) obtained from your insurance company. The original of this form must be received and must indicate the number of plates (even if 0) being insured. Fax/email is only acceptable if coming directly from the insurance company.
Bond Requirements:	$60,000 surety bond The name and address on the bond must match the business name and address that appear on the application exactly
Registered Agent (Special Agency) Required?	No
Qualifying Individual Requirements:	Connecticut Motor Vehicle regulations require at least one mechanic fully qualified to properly service the vehicles sold or repaired with a thorough knowledge of the product sold or serviced. If the mechanic is an employee, the mechanic must be employed at the licensed location (substantiated by payroll records for a minimum of 35 hours in each 7 day week).
