Notes:

Applicants must have a physical business address within the county to apply for a Fictitious Business Name Statement.
Applicants with no place of business in the state must file their application with the Clerk of Sacramento County.
Non-profit corporations, organizations or associations are not required to file a Fictitious Business Name Statement.

Application for Fictitious Business Name Statement

Agency Fee:

$25 for the first business name + $6 for each additional business name registered at the same location and for each additional owner

Notes:

The registrant must publish a statement in a newspaper of general circulation in the county in which the principal place of business is located once a week for four consecutive weeks. Publication must begin within 45 days of filing.
It is the responsibility of the registrant to ensure an affidavit of publication is submitted to the County Clerk's Office within 45 days of the last date of publication.
