Prince George's County Out-of-State Contractor License

Notes:

If you are a contractor located outside the State of Maryland and are performing new or commercial construction work in Prince George's County, Maryland, you must obtain an out-of-state contractor license. This license should be obtained from the County where the first job of the license year is located. Once the license is obtained, it is good throughout the State of Maryland for the entirety of the license year.

  • $15 if the value of the applicant's stock-in-trade is not more than $1,000;
  • $18 if the value is more than $1,000 but not more than $1,500;
  • $20 if the value is more than $1,500 but not more than $2,500;
  • $25 if the value is more than $2,500 but not more than $4,000;
  • $30 if the value is more than $4,000 but not more than $6,000;
  • $40 if the value is more than $6,000 but not more than $8,000;
  • $50 if the value is more than $8,000 but not more than $10,000;
  • $65 if the value is more than $10,000 but not more than $15,000;
  • $80 if the value is more than $15,000 but not more than $20,000;
  • $100 if the value is more than $20,000 but not more than $30,000;
  • $125 if the value is more than $30,000 but not more than $40,000;
  • $150 if the value is more than $40,000 but not more than $50,000;
  • $200 if the value is more than $50,000 but not more than $75,000;
  • $250 if the value is more than $75,000 but not more than $100,000;
  • $300 if the value is more than $100,000 but not more than $150,000;
  • $350 if the value is more than $150,000 but not more than $200,000;
  • $400 if the value is more than $200,000 but not more than $300,000;
  • $500 if the value is more than $300,000 but not more than $400,000;
  • $600 if the value is more than $400,000 but not more than $500,000;
  • $750 if the value is more than $500,000 but not more than $750,000;
  • $800 if the value is more than $750,000.

*The county may alternatively choose to collect a uniform fee of $15.

 

Chain Store License Fees:

Applicants who also need to obtain a Chain Store license must pay an additional fee based on the number of stores operated in the State.

  • $5 for each store for 2 to 5 stores;
  • $20 for each store for 6 to 10 stores;
  • $100 for each store for 11 to 20 stores; or
  • $150 for each store for more than 20 stores.
