    • Written STatement from the TBPE or TBPG that you are currently licensed to engage and practice engineering or geoscience and the State of Texas and the applicable board are not aware of any reason you would not be qualified to perform corrective action

Triennially by date of issuance. Renewals should be submitted at least 30 days prior to the expiration date to allow for timely processing. 

Notes:

LPST Correction Action Project Managers License holders who have obtained a license based on the qualification of having a current Professional Engineer or Professional Geoscientist License do not need to renew this license so long as the Professional Engineer or Professional Geoscientist License remains valid.

Texas Leaking Petroleum Storage Tank (LPST) Corrective Action Specialist Registration

Financial Requirements:

A minimum net worth of $25,000

Insurance Requirements:

General Liability Insurance in an amount not less than $1,000,000 for corrective action services. The certificate must designate The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality - Permitting & Registration Support Division as the certificate holder. 

Qualifying Individual Requirements:

All corrective action services must be supervised by a licensed LPST Corrective Action Project Manager.

  • A current (not more than 12 months old) financial statement (balance sheet) demonstrating that the applicant's net worth is not less than $25,000. This financial statement must be prepared in conformity with accounting principles as defined by the American Institute of Public Accountants and must be signed by the applicant's authorized representative.
  • Sworn Statements (on TCEQ forms) from as least 3 different clients/companies who have engaged the applicant within the previous 24 months to perform corrective action services. Statements cannot be from clients/companies to whom the applicant is related by blood or marriage.
