  • There is no fee for extra-provincial corporations.
  • Federal corporations or foreign corporations (entities domiciled outside of Canada) pay $22.84 per month for the number of months until the incorporation date of the entity (starting from the current date). For example, if your entity was incorporated in October 2021 and you were filing in April, you would pay $137.04.

Notes:
  • Extra-provincial corporations are incorporated under provincial or territorial legislation in Canada. Federal corporations are incorporated under the federal laws of Canada and foreign corporations are incorporated under the laws of a jurisdiction outside of Canada.
  • Corporations that are incorporated and registered in New Brunswick don’t have to register in Nova Scotia.
  • You must reserve a name for your entity before filing the Extra Provincial Corporation Registration Form.
Required Attachments:
  • List officers and directors, including office held and address
  • Document that proves the company name from its home jurisdiction (for example, a copy of a certificate of incorporation, certificate of name change, certificate of amalgamation, or a company profile on file with the home jurisdiction)
