How to Apply:

Domestic Applicants:

  1. Appoint an individual to qualify for the Contractor License for your business matching the qualifications on page 4 of the application.
  2. Appoint a second individual to qualify for the Contractor License for your business matching the qualifications on page 4 of the application.
  3. Obtain public liability and property damage insurance in the amounts determined by the rule of the Construction Industry Licensing Board.
  4. Obtain workers’ compensation insurance or filed for an exemption with the Division of Workers’ Compensation. 

Foreign Applicants:

  1. Appoint an individual to qualify for the Contractor License for your business matching the qualifications on page 4 of the application.
  2. Appoint a second individual to qualify for the Contractor License for your business matching the qualifications on page 4 of the application.
  3. Obtain public liability and property damage insurance in the amounts determined by rule of the Construction Industry Licensing Board.
  4. Obtain workers’ compensation insurance or filed for an exemption with the Division of Workers’ Compensation.

A business organization that loses its qualifying person has 60 days from the date the qualifier terminated his affiliation within which to appoint another qualifying person.

Notes:
  • If a company has more than one qualifier in each of its classifications, it may simply notify the board that the qualifying agent is no longer associated with its license. Otherwise, the entity must appoint a new qualifying agent.
  • Companies can obtain a temporary, nonrenewable license that will allow them to continue working for up to 60 days to complete any existing contracts.

Florida Lead Abatement Company License

Not required



Lead Services Company licensure is not required on the State level in Florida.

Florida does not have a state-issued lead abatement license; instead, these licenses are administered federally by the EPA.
